Aruna Sairam is a Classical Vocal artist from South India. All the South Indian Classics are devotional songs. Aruna Sairam is related to Karnatic Music style which has been developed over centuries. An artist practises several years ( decades) to master this musical style. This musical style is prevalent in all South Indian states especially Tamilanadu even though most of the songs were composed by Telugu composers. South Indian Classics are directly related to Nada Yoga a form of Yoga which is intended to achieve supreme consciousness in the artist and listener. Sometimes the music may not be plesant at first to listen but over the period of time it becomes so addictive that the artist can invoke any desired mood in himself or listener. This style is even used for therapeutic purposes. Some of the advaced practitioners even demonstrate occult powers ( not public demonstrations)
